Officers in Tucson and Phoenix Arizona are more frequently turning to blood testing in DUI cases. Blood testing, while generally more precise than breath testing (using Arizona’s aging fleet of Intoxilyzer 5000 machines, and in Tucson machines rigged to ride in the back of police cars), blood testing has its own set of problems.
